• Deloitte & Touche said it has appointed Irvin H. Bisnov as managing partner for the financial services firm's Carolinas practice. Bisnov, who is relocating from Washington D.C. to Charlotte, will oversee all operations at the firm's North Carolina offices in Raleigh and Charlotte, as well as South Carolina offices in Greenville and Columbia. Bisnov is a 20-year veteran of Deloitte & Touche, working most recently as the Assurance & Enterprise Risk Services leader for the Southeast region. (Source: Bizjournals.com, 10/30/2006)
  

• IM Investments announced that R. Canon Coleman II will become lead portfolio manager of AIM Mid Cap Basic Value Fund, effective Nov. 1, 2006. Coleman is a CFA charterholder and joined AIM after serving in the corporate associate program at AMVESCAP PLC, the parent company of AIM. • Teekay Shipping Corporation announced that its Senior Vice President and Treasurer, Vince Lok, has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. As Teekay's new Chief Financial Officer, Lok will assume leadership of the Company's financial operations. Lok has been with Teekay for over 13 years and during that time has held a number of senior finance and accounting positions, including Controller from 1997 until his promotion to the position of Vice President, Finance in March 2002. Most recently, Lok has served as Teekay's Senior Vice President and Treasurer. Prior to joining Teekay, Lok worked in the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche. • Acme Packet, Inc., the leader in session border control solutions, announced that David Elsbree, a former senior partner at Deloitte & Touche, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Acme Packet effective immediately. Elsbree has been appointed as chair of the Audit Committee. From 1981 to May 2004, Elsbree was a partner with Deloitte & Touche where he served many of the firm's most complex software and technology client companies.
