• Hub International Limited announced the appointment of John P. Graham, age 41, to the position of vice-president and chief financial officer. Graham will replace Dennis J. Pauls, who has been named president and chief executive officer of Hub Ontario, the company's regional hub headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Graham brings nearly 20 years of public company and public accounting experience to Hub International. Most recently, he served as senior vice president finance, treasurer and assistant secretary at Career Education Corporation. He was also a manager of financial planning and analysis at Kraft General Foods and an audit supervisor at Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte & Touche) in Chicago. • GENBAND™ Inc., a leading provider of IMS-based telecommunications applications and infrastructure products enabling converged IP multimedia services, announced that Mark Lancaster has been elected to GENBAND Board of Directors and will serve as the Chairman of GENBAND’s Audit Committee. Lancaster is a CPA and a retired Partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP. During his 41 years with Deloitte, Mark served as audit partner and business advisor to a wide-range of public and private companies. • KnowledgeArch, LLC announced that Wallace P. Buran has joined KnowledgeArch as Executive Advisor. KnowledgeArch is an independent beverage industry think tank focused on the future structure of the nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverage industry with national and global customers. Buran has extensive credentials in business transformation. Buran has extensive experience in the beer, soft drink, and wine sectors and has consulted for more than 25 years across many industries on a global basis. • The Council of the Institute of Directors in Ireland (IoD) has appointed Eoin O’Shea as its new Chief Executive. A Chartered Accountant by profession, O'Shea is the outgoing President of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers. Following his accountancy training in Deloitte’s auditing and management consulting departments he went on to co-found Ground Marketing Group Limited in 2000 and remains as its non-executive Chairman. Eoin currently serves as a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, is a member of the Irish Taxation Institute and holds a Diploma in Commercial Law from the Law Society of Ireland. • GlobeTel Communications Corp. announced the appointment of Michael DeCarlo to the position of interim Chief Financial Officer. A certified public accountant since 1981, DeCarlo brings to GlobeTel an extensive base of international accounting and auditing experience at firms now known as Deloitte-Touche, Ernst & Young, Berkowitz Dick Pollack and Brant, and Mallah Furman and Company. • Bioelectronics, the maker of a drug-free, anti-inflammatory patch to relieve soft tissue pain and swelling, has named Larry Rosen its CFO. Rosen is a former partner with Touche Ross & Co., now known as Deloitte & Touche. He's been CFO for several startups, including a medical device company. BioElectronics executives say that Rosen's experience in financial statement presentation and Securities and Exchange Commission reporting will be a help to the Frederick-based company. • Petroleum Development Corp., which produces and markets natural gas and oil, said it hired Richard W. McCullough as its chief financial officer with Darwin L. Stump moving from that post to the newly created position of chief accounting officer. McCullough, 55, joins Petroleum Development from Gasource LLC, where he served as president and chief executive. McCullough, who will also be treasurer, held senior positions with JP Morgan Securities, Progress Energy, Deloitte and Touche and the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia. • MTI Technology Corporation, a multi-national provider of consulting services and comprehensive information infrastructure solutions, announced the appointment of William Atkins to its board of directors. Atkins is a consultant to multi-national firms focusing on technology and management. Atkins has worked in the technology and consulting industry for over 45 years. • ClearOrbit, the leading provider of real-time supply chain execution and reverse logistics solutions, announced that Jerry Folsom has been named vice president of product management. Folsom previously served as ClearOrbit's vice president of product development. In his new role, Folsom is responsible for advancing the company’s continued commitment to lowering total cost of ownership (TCO) for customers, and driving rapid product innovations that compliment SAP and Oracle E-Business Suite. Prior to joining ClearOrbit, Folsom served as director of services at Austin-based SiteStuff, Inc. where he was responsible for managing the design and development of services products. Previously, In addition, Folsom has held positions in the information technology practice at Deloitte Consulting and implementation management and support at Sungard. • Progress Software Corporation, a global supplier of application infrastructure software used to develop, deploy, integrate and manage business applications, announced the appointment of Charles Kane to its Board of Directors. Kane has held several leadership positions in the technology industry and is currently the Chief Financial Officer of “One Laptop per Child,” a non-profit organization founded at Massachusetts Institute of Technology that provides computers and internet access for students in the developing world.
